Intro. What the heck is this blog?

We are two sisters. Rachel and Melissa.

We are fertile vs infertile.

We are also best friends, business partners and Christian women.

We struggled through this battle together, and sometimes apart.

A little more about us:

Melissa is extremely fertile, she has had five beautiful children within 7 years. Rachel comes from a considerably less fertile marriage. Though currently the mom of 1 amazing little boy, it took 30 months, two failed adoptions and InVitro Fertilization for that dream to come true.

You can imagine the hardships we faced as Rachel went through Infertility and Melissa had to watch and support. And as Rachel had to watch Melissa have baby after baby when that was all she desired.

It was hard. A LOT. For BOTH OF US.

If you're dealing with IF or you have a loved one who is, this is going to be a blog for you. We're going to share from both sides on how we felt about certain things. How we dealt with those things, and how through prayer and love we conquered those things.

This is a question and answer blog. Anytime you have a question, please email us at and we will write the question and answer here (without using names).

Please know that we will always consult each other on our posts/answers and will work together through prayer as we write this blog.

Well this will be interesting....

I can appreciate it from both sides having been both extremely fertile in my first marriage and then utterly infertile in my second...

I am so proud of both of you!

This was such a difficult for our entire family.

We felt like we were watching our precious child get knocked around the on the playing field of life.

We were not actually in the game ourselves but rather spectators.

Spectators however, that loved the precious child. But all we could do was stand on the sidelines and pray she wouldn't get beat up more than she already was.

Although, time and time again she was knocked down. And each time it was as if someone had also kicked us in the gut.

But, because we weren't actually playing the game, we felt our precious child couldn’t always accept our support.

Often it seemed as if she bonded more with the actual players on the field that her beloved family.

Since our precious child has gone thru this experience - our eyes have been open to the huge number of precious people that deal with infertility.

Our hearts will never be the same.

We weren't actually on the playing field itself, but we felt the pain of our precious child. A child just like each of you seeks to have of your own.

WOW!!! I am so glad that you ladies are doing this! IF has been and still is such a struglle for my husband and I, especially due to the fact that my sister has 10 children!! Yes, 10...all biological...5 girls and 5 boys! I often times find it so hard to really get through to her and have her understand what we are going through. She just doesn't "get it", and alot of times I find myself avoiding even talking to her because of own sister. It's so hard. I'm really hoping that maybe your blog will help me help her understand our situation better, because I really miss her.

Thanks ladies!!

I can't wait to read more!

I've been dealing with unexplained infertility for a little less than a year and we have been trying for 25 months.

I can't wait to keep up on the question and answers as well as your battles... I'm sure it will help more people than you'll ever know...

Thanks for starting this blog. We are finally pregnant through IVF yet have struggled with our relationships with our extremely fertile sibblings. We have nine nieces and nephews, three of whom were born in the three months of our IVF cycle. I think this is a fantastic idea!
